Help Out the Families of Our Fallen Houston Brothers & Sisters
Updated On: Jun 13, 2013
Dear Brothers and Sisters of IAFF L - 244.

As you know, we lost three Brothers and One Sister during a Fire in Houston, Texas on May 31, 2013. As many of you may or may not know, I am a former member of Houston Local 341 and my brother-in-law is a Senior Arson Investigator for the Houston Fire Department.

The Houston Firefighters are as tight a family as ours is, and they are dealing with this tragic situation as best they can. The memorial services for the fallen are to be held Wednesday June 5th and the Dallas, Ft Worth, Austin and San Antonio Fire Departments will be manning The City of Houston fire units to allow all members the opportunity to attend the services.

The Houston Firefighters have started multiple donation activities to help the families of the fallen and to help the multiple members that sustained injuries as well. One of these activities is T-shirt sales. The Shirts are $10.00 each and all proceeds go to the Families of the Fallen.

If you would like to order a T-shirt to help out, please text (505) 977-3965. I will get with you to collect monies.

I will place an order by Thursday June 13th.

Fraternally yours,

Dave Thomason
Paramedic Firefighter
