IAFF Local 244 Firefighter Survivors Fund - Fundraiser at Imbibe on February 26, 2015
Updated On: Feb 20, 2015
Firefighting is a very honorable and rewarding profession and with it comes exposure to tragedies on many levels. It also hits on a personal level from fellow firefighter deaths to firefighters diagnosed with diseases caused by the job. It is truly humbling to witness IAFF brothers and sisters pulling resources together to provide support for each other and our families in need. The IAFF Local 244 has organized to broaden our means to provide help to firefighters and their families who are afflicted with life threatening conditions. We created the ‘FF Survivors Fund’ in 2012 and have helped dozens of fire families since. Our profession has evolved significantly through the years and so have the risks. We are asking you to join us on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 6:00pm to close at Imbibe (3101 Central Ave. NW) and raise money to support this critical fund. Guinness is co-hosting the event and will provide engraved pint glasses from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
