The IAFF Local 244 County Chapter Negotiating team has reached a tentative agreement with Bernalillo County for Article 37: Compensation of the CBA as of today, May 14th, 2023. We strongly encourage all members to attend one of the upcoming scheduled in-person informational meetings for additional information.

The informational meetings are scheduled as listed below:

Tuesday, May 16th, 2023, at 09:00am at the Union Hall (In-Person)

Thursday, May 18th, 2023, at 09:00am at the Union Hall (In-Person)

Friday, May 19th, 2023, at 11:00am at the Union Hall (In-Person)

The ratification vote will take place on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 7:00am -7:00pm in accordance with Article II, Section 2 and Article XI of the IAFF Local 244 Constitution & By-Laws.

The designated poll sites will be the: Union Hall, Station 33, and Station 40.

This serves as the notification in accordance with the Local 244 Constitution and By-laws Article II, Section 2.C: All members shall be notified of intent to vote on contractual items no less than five (5) days before such vote occurs.

*NOTE-If interested in working at a poll site please contact Sergeant At Arms Aaron Flores. Time will be 07:00-19:00, $15hr with lunch provided. 

Absentee voting shall be provided for members unable to attend the ballot vote in the event that the member is on leave, departmental trip, training status, or on paid status at the time of the vote, in accordance with the IAFF Local 244 Constitution & By-Laws Article XI, Section 3. Members who meet the requirements for absentee voting may contact Sergeant at Arms Aaron Flores (505-307-5981) between 9am-3:00pm to schedule a time to complete an Absentee Ballot on May 17th or 18th, 2023.
