IAFF 244 2024 General Election Information & Nominations

Attention Members:
The IAFF Local 244 General Election will be held in December 2024 (Exact Date-TBD)
Nominations for the 2024 General Election will officially open at the General Membership Meeting on September 12, 2024, and will close at the General Membership Meeting on November 7, 2024.
In accordance with the Albuquerque Area Fire Fighters IAFF Local 244 Bylaws: Article X, Officer Elections, Section 4. Elected Officer Terms all ‘Even Year’ positions will be up for election in 2024. There will also be one (1) ‘Odd Year’ position up for election, which will be for a one (1) year term, due to our newly approved Constitution & Bylaws which reclassified two Trustee positions to Membership Outreach Directors on the Executive Board. Additional details related to absentee voting, early voting and poll sites will be provided in early November 2024 in accordance with the Constitution & Bylaws.
