For over 55 years, fire fighters across the nation have been warriors against neuromuscular disease. The Albuquerque Fire Department is no exception to that. Because of each of you and your commitment to families across the area, in 2008 the Albuquerque Fire Department remained the top fundraising department in the State of New Mexico for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. I wish you the best of luck as your 2009 MDA Fill the Boot Campaign kicks off next week. I am looking forward to celebrating your record-breaking total when Local 244 reaches their goal of $60,000! Because of tireless efforts like the Albuquerque Fire Department, MDA is able to provide vital services for families across the Albuquerque area.
