Officer Elections are now over and the results are in.  Our current Union President Diego Arencon won his race and will serve for another 2 years as our General President.  Stephen Montoya also won his race for City 3rd Steward and will also serve for another 2 years.  All other persons running for office were running unopposed and will be serving a 2 year term except for the one County trustee that will be a single year term.

We want to thank you all for coming out and participating.  We had outstanding numbers get involved from both Chapters.  From the City Chapter we had 343 members of 648 come out and vote and on the County Chapter side we had 97 member out of 179 vote.  This turn out of 440 members was outstanding! Thanks for getting involved!!

Additionally, we want to than Richard Sanchez and Pat Goodyear for an excellant job managing the voting process and making sure it went off without a hitch.  In addition to them, we want to thank all those who worked the long hours at the polls during early voting and during the election day. 

We hope to encourage you all to get involved, come to meetings, and run for office.  The best way to stay informed is to be involved.  Each of the elected positions has a minimum meeting standard that has to be met in order to run for that office.  Please come, sign in, and get involved.  We will be having another election in a year and one of those positions may be right for you!!

City 3rd Steward: Stephen Montoya = 224 votes,  James Ruelas = 89 

City 5th Steward: Kerry Horton, unopposed

 Elected Officers shall be installed at the January general meeting, at which time they shall assume the duties of their respective office (Article X, Section 7)
