Attention Local 244 Members, Our General Membership Meeting on September 11, 2025,  will now be held at 7:00pm instead of 10:00am in an effort to better accommodate all 9-11 memorial events scheduled during the morning hours.

August 11, 2025: The IAFF Local 244 Executive Board is continuing to accept letters of interest for County Chapter Fourth Steward for the next 14 calendar days. The Executive Board will appoint a member to serve in this position on September 4, 2025, until the next General Election in accordance with the IAFF Local 244 Constitution & Bylaws, Article VI, Section 5.

County Chapter 4th Steward Vacancy July 8, 2025: The IAFF Local 244 Executive Board is accepting letters of interest for County Chapter Fourth Steward for the next 14 calendar days. City Chapter MOU for ‘Paramedic Certification Incentive’ to be presented for membership approval at a Special Meeting on 6/19/25 at 1:00p.m. A Special Meeting will be held on June 19, 2025, at 1:00pm at the Union Hall. There will be a ‘view-only’ option on zoom; you will find the link in the email notification.

County Chapter MOU for ‘Upgrade & Certification Courses’ to be presented for membership approval at a Special Meeting on 5/21/25 at 11:00a.m.

A Special Meeting will be held on May 21, 2025, at 11:00am at the Union Hall. This will be an in-person meeting (no zoom option).

During this meeting, the IAFF Local 244 Executive Board will present the County Chapter ‘Upgrade & Certification Courses’ MOU for approval by the membership pursuant to Article II, Section 4 & Article V, Section 6 of the IAFF Local 244 Constitution & By-Laws. The meeting will begin promptly at 11:00a.m. at the Union Hall.

The Upgrade & Certification Courses MOU can be viewed in the member’s area under the 'Contracts' tab in the folder titled MOU’s/Contracts for Approval or check your email for a notification with attachment.

A City Chapter Special Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 10:00am in accordance with Article V, Section 6 of the IAFF Local 244 Constitution & By-Laws. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the Minimum Staffing Resolution (R-25-122).

Attention Members: IAFF 244 County Chapter will hold an Informational Meeting to discuss the proposed IAFF 244/BCFR Cannabis Policy Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This informational meeting will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 1:00pm at the Union Hall.
