Attention County Chapter Members,  The Bernalillo County Commission has placed the IAFF 244/BCFR Cannabis Policy Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on the agenda for the February 25, 2025, County Commission meeting. The MOA can be located under the 'Member Resources' tab, search for the contract folder then select 'MOU/Contracts for Approval'.

The IAFF Local 244 Executive Board has one (1) vacancy that was created by our most recent election & the installation of officers into their newly elected positions on January 9, 2025. IAFF Local 244 will again be accepting letters of interest for the position of City Trustee for the next 14 calendar days.

Distinguished Local 244 membership, We would like to congratulate the newly elected IAFF Local 244 Executive Board Members. These brothers will serve the membership by progressing our departments and our Local forward. There are many ways to serve, and we applaud these for sacrificing their time and energy in hopes of improving the fire service in their own unique way.

Nominations are now being accepted. If you would like to nominate a fellow union member for Rookie of the Year (1-3 years), Fire Fighter of the Year or Outstanding Leadership Award, please submit a letter of nomination to General President Tittmann at: tittmann244@gmail.com on or before December 2, 2024-to have it included for consideration by the Executive Board.
