Message from BCFD Administrative Officer Theresa Otero-Bustamonte:

My name is Theresa Otero-Bustamante and I am a Bernalillo County Fire Department Employee: On Sunday July 20th, 2014 Tiger Toya who is like my son was intentionally run over while riding his mountain bike near Broadway. Tiger was placed on a ventilator due to required multiple surgeries to repair the damage sustained. I have known Tiger and his family since he was in middle school, Tiger lived with me and my family while he attended High school, he is a kind and great young man who is an important part of my family. Tiger will require lots of rehab and will likely miss the start of his College classes next month. It is unknown at this time if the person who ran Tiger over is insured and therefore my family and I will be having a Fund Raiser/raffle to help raise money for Tiger?s needs & medical expenses. The items to be raffled are still being gathered(Please be assured that the prizes will be awesome). The raffle ticket price will be $2.00 each; drawings will be 1st 2nd and 3rd place. We would greatly appreciate your purchase of the raffle tickets in support of Tiger. Tickets can be purchased from me at the Training Academy on Broadway. I will also make my way to the stations and Atrium in the coming week. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have at (505) 468-1312.  Thank you!

Brothers and Sisters, please be advised that payroll deductions for Benevolent and TV Fund will be withheld this pay period. Call any of your Executive Board Officers with questions.
