Fundraiser for Retired Firefighter Zeke Hernandez

Retired AFD Firefighter Zeke Hernandez has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenocarcinom. His oncologist states that his cancer is treatable but not curable due to its advanced stage. The cancer originated in his lungs and has spread into his brain tissue as well as his bones. Zeke has completed a round of ten radiation treatments and is currently waiting on more tests.
The AFD Retiree Association, Random Acts of Kindness and IAFF Local 244 will host a Fundraiser Dinner and Raffle on May 12, 2012 for Retired Brother Zeke Hernandez at IAFF Local 244 Union Hall located at 4100 Edith NE, from 4:00-7:00pm. On May 18, 2012 from 8:00am and on throughout the day we encourage any and all Firefighters to lend a hand to our Brother Zeke Hernandez at his residence for much needed repairs to his home. Many Firefighters have been donating materials, equipment and labor. Please contact OG at 505-362-1228 for more information.
